- 张大磊的镜头语言呈现出一种“延迟”的美学，一方面，镜头语言极为克制，而且的确有一种上个世纪台湾后新电影感觉，既像杨德昌那样冷峻克制，又像侯孝贤的长镜头美学一样镜头很少运动但年代感氛围十足。更主要的是，镜头语言是后设的、延迟满足的，且具有一种主观意识，比如电影最后，庒树在湖面上说自己可以将湖面变成平原，一声枪响，我们只看到庒树惊异的表情与另外两人的声音入画，最后镜头缓缓的切到湖面飘着的平原烟盒纸以及倒下的小斐。镜头总是慢人一步的揭示剧情，剧情上延迟满足，有时还是大幅省略，而且总是从不经意的角度切入，似乎具有自己独立的调度意识。另外我对海清饰演的角色始终无法认同，同时全剧演的最好的是少年小树和老舅，我一度以为老舅下海经商后会出轨，没想到是如此顾家的一个男人。
