- 电视剧低开高走，起初有些慢热，随着剧情推进，越来越紧凑，抓人眼球，不花俏又很务实，难得一见的官场现形记
- 难能可贵的真实。从94年分税制之后，县级财政一直都恼火。一边是债台高筑事业单位发不出来工资（公务员是转移支付的还好），一边是上面压GDP指标、年轻人都溜号了的空巢村镇，任谁来都掉头发。当然，肯定是有美化的，实际情况只会更惨，但是能描绘到这个尺度，已经不错了。剧情中的糟粕就是梅书记和他老婆这一段，很突兀，完全敲掉也不影响剧情，放一位团派出来的升的很快的没在基层待过的又很强势的与剧情无关的老婆，有啥意义？扣一星。
