The tale of a professional gambler and a bar woman in turn of the century Colorado. Tacey Cromwell (Anne Baxter) and Clint Saunders (Rock Hudson) move to Randsburg for a better life, taking in Clint's little brother and the daughter of a man who was killed in a mine accident. Enter a senator's daughter (Julie Adams) who schemes to win Clint's love and take the two children away......
