- 偶然翻出来看的童年老剧，竟停不下来，好剧自是常看常新。收尾部分，多处具有第五代美学的摄影，浮动的奏折，日落的皇城，熄灭的红烛，衬托出的是王朝恢宏下的阴森鬼气。无关史实，此剧由唐国强饰演的鞠躬尽瘁的皇帝，从冷面王爷，治世孤臣，最后成为孤家寡人，一切的一切可视作人与历史命途的渺小，甚至可以抿出存在主义悲剧的味道。而这些皆可以当成我们的斜视刺入前现代历史的途径，幻化为颇具沧桑感的民族悲叹。...

- 用文艺电影的节奏拍电视剧，很任性，也很奢侈
- 节奏挺催眠，但整体氛围、故事、人物也融入在一起了。另外，张大磊导演可能对于秋裤有着执着的热爱。
