In the first scene, the young filmmaker presents his Danish mother and Nigerian father to the idea of the film he wants to make. We do not get to know what the idea is, but his suggestion to travel to Nigeria to visit his family's origins clearly unsettles them. His father has moved back, while Jide's mother lives in Denmark.
