- In 1971 Jiaunguo's grandparents meet for the first time thanks to a ball of red yarn. Some 20 years later, Jiaunguo and Xue as toddlers meet the same way. As they grow up, China does as well, modernizing at a rapid pace. - 我还不能死，我得去看世界！虽然有点矫情，但是说实话，这几年被各种乱七八糟的事情扰到停止思考、像个陀螺一样转啊转啊的，看这部剧，好像在黑夜中找不到方向的我，终于找到了那束属于我的光，还有笑得灿烂的我，陌生又熟悉的感觉。
- 好想感叹刘亦菲真的是剧集质量保证，像是在看电影的质感，表演佳无滤镜。第一集一直在哭。
