A countdown of the nation's favourite crime solvers as voted for by Channel 5 viewers in an online poll. The list features those who work best alone such as Miss Marple, Hercule Poirot and Lt Columbo, as well as duos including Morse and Lewis and Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman's portrayal of Holmes and Watson in Sherlock.
