黄秋生演的那部同名作已记不清故事内容，这部法国惊悚动作片用类型化模式来制造悬念，并在后半段融入社会问题的思考。较为失败的是从惊悚类型转向社会批判的手段太过粗暴，缺乏叙事逻辑，典型法国人的辩证哲学思维与前半段的气氛节奏完全不搭。看的这个版本法语对白没有英文字幕，只能靠三脚猫的法语听力去猜测，不过总体上还能理解导演的用意。
