- 史延芹设计的服饰，老版《红楼梦》和《聊斋》的服饰设计者，非常好，服饰发型考究不出戏。第一部是最好看的一部，历史考证方面做的比现在很多电视剧好很多，故事情节也比其他3部真实度高。配乐也好听，台词设计也很有文化底蕴。虽然有很多硬伤，但是已经算现在的良心剧了...

- 三个故事，集数适当，演员表演发挥稳定，不少还是老戏骨。比起后几部，这部真的是一个侦探故事，没有丝毫多余的地方，元芳再武功上也不是bug，狄仁杰也有失误的时候。单凭这一点，就能耍后几部好几条街。
- 相比之下，李若彤的那个版本更好，刘亦菲版的小龙女很年轻很漂亮。
