    "BRAZILIAN EMPIRE", originally "BRASIL IMPERIAL", is a 10-episode series. In 1807, in an unprecedented action, D. （onAmazonPrime)大体基于史实，作为电视剧也是合格的，服装布景美若油画，但表演很用力，似乎担心电视观众看不清。几乎全部内景，镜头下没有较宽广的视野，使这巴西帝国始终像是个小朝廷。公务员Arrebita与黑人姑娘刚果安娜（AnadoCongo）的异族婚姻这一段是主线之一，也比较动人，议题着力唤起当代人共鸣。其余大多像过场戏，野心太大，急于把宏大历史与许多个体命运的交集统统塞进去。虽然巴西帝国的故事未完，可能不算很成功，不会有第二季了。设想若与纪实作品《1808：航向巴西》并观会更有意思。
