- 张丰毅因为陈凯歌的《荆轲刺秦王》，推掉了这部戏，虽然没有因此而损失什么，但直接让唐国强从本剧再次走进一线演员，从《三国演义》诸葛亮到胤禛，唐国强也没有让人失望。……胡玫导演也通过本片成为国内顶级导演。……二月河的原著，最好看的本来也是这一部。……其实刘和平编剧，是真正把本剧推倒顶峰的人物，剧本实在太好了。
